<p>PURPOSE:To prevent decrease of dielectric strength and generation of abnormal heat by detecting liquid level of insulating liquid inside a steam/fog generator so as to control the apparatus so that it may keep the amount of the insulating liquid inside the steam/fog generator constant. CONSTITUTION:A liquid level detector 15 is connected to a steam/fog generator 6 in which a supersonic oscillator 23 is provided at the bottom. And when insulating liquid 5 is injected from a liquid reservoir 10 to the steam/fog generator 6, the liquid level of the container 16 of a liquid level detector 15 becomes equal to the liquid level of the steam/fog generator 6 by the principle of a communicated tube. And when near ultraviolet rays are irradiated from a light emitting diode 19 of an optical distance measuring instrument 18 toward a reflecting plate 17 floating on the liquid surface, the reflected light is sensed by a sensor 20 and by the difference of its position the distance is detected. A judging equipment 22, by comparison of the distance to the liquid level that sufficient steam and fog generates, issues a signal to open or close a solenoid valve 22 so as to keep liquid amount of the steam/fog generator 6 constant.</p> |
