PURPOSE:To adjust color balance accurately with a simple method by providing a video signal correction means, adjusting the level of a gradation signal and updating the correction data. CONSTITUTION:A video signal supplied from a host computer 2 is subjected to level correction based on a correction data at an A/D converter 14 and a gradation correction section 15 via a video I/F 4. The corrected signal is sent to a gradation signal control section 13, which generates a gradation signal and displays it on a CRT display device 3. The operator adjusts the level of the gradation signal while observing the picture of the display device 3 to update the correction data. Then a correction section 15 and a recording section 9 correct the color of the picture of display based on the correction data where the level of the video signal is updated in matching with the color of the picture and the result is recorded in the recording section 9. The correction data is updated in this way and the color balance is adjusted accurately. In case of the recording, the computer 2, the correction section 15 and the display device 3 are connected by a switch section 10. |
