PURPOSE:To obtain an image of a clear color tone by improving recording sensitivity, by a method wherein a specific phenol compound is used as a coloration agent of a low temperature coloring layer, and a specific monophenol compound or a disphenol compound is contained in the low temperature coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:A high temperature coloring layer, an intermediate layer containing a decoloring agent, and a low temperature coloring layer successively laminated on a base material, and the coloring layer contains a leuco dye and a coloration agent. As the coloration agent of this low temperature coloring layer, a phenol compound of 170 deg.C or higher in melting point is used, and a monophenol or a diphenol compound of 90-160 deg.C in melting point is contained in the low temperature coloring layer. When a phenol compound of a high melting point is thus used as the coloration agent, influence of the decoloring agent becomes difficult to be received even under high temperature high humidity conditions, and the shelf life is improved. Further, when a monophenol compound and a diphenol compound which have comparatively low melting points are jointly used, since those have a structure similar to that of the coloration agent, compatibility with the coloration agent becomes excellent, and adhesion of foreign matter to a head and a sticking phenomenon are eliminated. |
