<p>To facilitate subassembly of a power transmitting (viscous coupling) apparatus without use of a hub, the apparatus comprises a multistep shaft (19) formed with an input portion (17) and a multistep shoulder portion steppedly narrowed in diameter from the input portion to the opposite side; a casing (21) fitted to the multistep shaft (19) from the opposite side of the shaft (19) and formed with an output portion (44); and two sets of resistance plates (57, 61) engaged with and arranged along the axial direction of each of the multistep shaft (19) and the casing (21), within a working chamber (23) formed between the shaft (19) and the casing (21), so as to intervene between two other resistance plates.</p> |
