<p>This invention relates to an easily openable lid for a container. A lid body made of a laminate of a metal foil layer and a resin layer and having a weakened line for lid opening is provided, at at least that part of the laminate which is on the outer circumferential side of that part of an inwardly introduced weakened line which projects farthest in the lid opening initiating direction, with a reinforcing layer of a thermoplastic resin which extends across and covers this weakened line, and which is independent of the resin layer in the laminate. This can prevent the breakage of a ribbon effectively, and enables the lid to be cut and opened without fail smoothly along the weakened line.</p> |
