The housing of the circulation pump is to contain a space for separating the gas or air bubbles entrained in the delivery medium, the shape of which space is configured as uncomplicated as possible and consequently can be produced with the least possible technical expenditure. On the other hand, the shape of the space is to guarantee reliable gas separation. On the intake side, the pump housing is widened to a smooth-faced space of larger volume, in which the flow rate of the delivery medium is reduced, with the result that entrained gas bubbles are separated.
