Process for producing a thin-walled, thermoformed plastic moulding and its use

In a process for producing a thin-walled, thermoformed plastic moulding, planar cold-stretchable film material at a predetermined operating temperature is subjected to a fluid pressure medium and isostatically shaped. To reduce considerably the cycle time required for production, the shaping of the film material is performed at an operating temperature below the softening temperature of the film material and under a pressure medium pressure of greater than 20 bar. Preferably, a planar, cold-stretchable film material which is additionally provided with at least one colour imprint is shaped. In this case, an operating temperature above 80@C and below the softening temperature of the film material is chosen and, for the colour imprint, an ink whose ink carrier is deformable at this operating temperature is chosen, and the shaping of the film material takes place under a pressure medium pressure of greater than 20 bar. Dimensionally stable, multicoloured plastic mouldings are obtainable by injecting plastic onto the inside wall of the thermoformed plastic moulding produced in this way.
