PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform finish grinding on a curved member efficiently and still well by providing a drive control means for the purpose of automatically setting a member sending passage in accordance to a curve on a curved member. CONSTITUTION:A curved member W is placed on a placing bed 30 of a curve copying device, detecting elements of position measuring devices 33a-33f, 33x, 33y are abutted on a surface of the curved member W and distances from respective reference positions are measured. Next, moving amounts on respective member sending rolls are calculated based on the measured values by an operation unit of CPU. The calculated values are set up to counters C1-C7, moving motors M1-M7 are driven by a drive control means of CPU and member sending rolls are moved until the counters C1-C7 consume the discrete values. Thereby, a member sending passage regulated by member sending rolls is automatically set up into a curved passage similar to the curved form of the curved member W. The curved member W is fed on the member sending passage under the condition and through making the member run with the member sending rolls, the surface of the curved member W is uniformly finished in grinding. |
