PURPOSE:To make it possible to restrict the heating at the part to be heated and to carry out a concentration heating by providing a ridge type heating chamber in which two sets of ridge couples arranged to hold a clearance a substance to heat passes, opposing each other, and a microwave feeding device. CONSTITUTION:A substance to heat 5 is delivered in a clearance 8 in a ridge type heating chamber 7, and a heater 6 is positioned almost at the center of the ridge type heating chamber 7. By operating a microwave oscillator 1 in such a condition, microwaves are led in the ridge type heating chamber 7 through an isolator 2, a regulator 3, and a waveguide 4. The ridge couples 9a and 9b provided in the ridge type heating chamber 7 are formed in a trapezoid respectively, and microwaves can be drawn in easily to be radiated over the part of the position of the substance to heat 6 concentrically. By such a constitution, an efficient consumption of energy can be realized. |
