<p>High-pressure piston cylinder unit with a cylinder (2) and a piston (5, 126, 136) moving within said cylinder and having a free end, the front surface (52) of which, arranged perpendicularly to the surface of the piston (5, 126, 136), forms the movable wall of a high-pressure chamber (3) in the cylinder. Said unit is characterized in that the limiting gap between the piston surface and the cylinder surface has one or several limited sections, where it is more extensive widthwise in order to provide a pressure compensation. The limiting gap can be extended widthwise by decreasing the piston diameter in the area of the front surface or by means of grooves inside the piston or in the cylinder wall.</p> |
