<p>The spool is for coiling thread or cord, having a clamp on the outside of its flange gripping the end. This is formed by a wire with shaped sections at right angles to the flange end. The wire (1) has two clamping portions (3) at right angles to the edge (8) and a middle portion (2) parallel to it, also ends (4,5) working with the edge. When not fitted to the flange edge, the wire is shaped so that the angle between the plane of the clamping portions and that of the ends is no more than 60 deg., while that between the ends is no more than 120 deg.</p> |
