<p>PURPOSE:To perform searching at the same accuracy as a skilled operator even by an unskilled operator, by estimating various parameters required for searching based on data stored in a rule base memory part, and automatically setting the parameters. CONSTITUTION:An underground-buried-material searching apparatus 6 comprises a towed truck 7 on which transmitting and receiving antennas are provided and a processor 8 in which data collected by said truck 7 are processed at a high speed and displayed on a display device 9 as images. In searching, at first data such as desired searching depths in a searching region that are required for estimation are inputted through the keyboard of an automatic parameter setting device 1. Then, the truck 7 is moved into the searching region, and automatic setting of parameters is started. The device 1 transmits a test radiowave into the underground part from the transmitting antenna. The reflected wave from the underground buried material is received through the receiving antenna. The data such as the intensity and the waveform of the reflected wave and the like that are required for estimation are inputted into working memories through a transmitting cable 10 and the processor 8. Then, the optimum values of the parameters are estimated along flow charts.</p> |
