The invention relates to a housing for an electrical apparatus for insertion in mounting openings (10) of switchboards (27) having an essentially cuboid-shaped housing body (2) which can be pushed into the mounting opening (10). At least on two mutually averted side walls (narrow side walls 13), this housing body has in each case elastically sprung spreading fishplates (14) which stand proud towards the outside from the corresponding side walls at an acute angle (16), opening against the insertion direction (15). The free ends (17), preferably running parallel to the insertion direction (15), of the spreading fishplates (14) have a toothed catch profile (18), in each case on their outer side, for fixing the housing (switch housing 1) to the boundary edges (longitudinal, lateral side edge 11, 12) of the mounting opening (10). On the free ends (17) of the spreading fishplates (14) there are in each case integrally formed supporting struts (19) which extend inwards to the corresponding side walls (narrow side walls 13) and are supported, at least in the final mounting position of the housing (switch housing 1), with their supporting ends (20) on the side wall (narrow side wall 13). …<IMAGE>… |
