CONSTITUTION: An aggregate of a partitioning plate, which is arranged between a Ni positive electrode and a Cd negative electrode, and the alkaline electrolyte is built in a case so as to form an open type alkaline storage battery using a pair of Ni-Cd electrodes. A space between the electrodes is set at 0.1-1mm, and a partitioning plate connected to a film of porous polyolefine film and made of at least one polymer fiber felt is filled in the space, and film thickness is set at 10-50μm, hole surface area is set at 0.1-20mm, and porosity is set at 5-50%.
