PURPOSE:To obtain a probe which does not interrupt the optional motion of a piezo-electric material by irradiating an ultrasonic signal through conductive liquid so that a reflected wave from an objective area is received by a piezo-electric oscillation means through the conductive liquid. CONSTITUTION:A PZT disc 1 is held by a holding film 3 in a container 2. When an electric signal is applied to an electric terminal 10, the signal is transmitted to the disc 1 through a lead wire 9, electrodes (A)7, (B)8 and an electrolytic solution and an ultrasonic signal is irradiate from the disc 1. A reflected ultrasonic wave signal received by the disc 1 and converted into an electric signal, which is transmitted to the electrodes (A)7, (B)8 through the electrolytic solution in liquid rooms (A)4, (B)5 and outputted to a receiving part (not shown) through the lead wire 9 and the terminal 10. Since the lead wire 9 or the electrodes are not directly contacted with the disc 1 and the disc 1 is held by the holding film 3 having corrugation, the PZT disc 1 can be optionally inclined. |
