PURPOSE:To shape the waveform of a synchronizing signal and to attain normal display even at the time of specific reproducing of a video signal by providing the title device with a synchronizing signal correcting circuit including a pulse adding part and a noise removing part. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with the synchronizing signal correcting circuit for shaping the waveform of a synchronizing signal. The correcting circuit is constituted of an edge detecting part 1 for detecting leading edge of a pulse, the pulse adding part 2 for generating a pulse when the succeeding pulse is not detected even after the passage of a prescribed time from the detected edge, the noise removing part 3 for masking the succeeding pulse when the succeedig pulse is detected before the passage of the prescribed time from the detected edge, and a pulse width correcting part 4 for outputting only a pulse with a prescribed width.
