<p>An aerated greenhouse, for growing either vegetables or flowers which need some protection from the weather, consists of a tunnel frame made from semi-circular arches, lengthwise members (4) and joints (5), covered with a flexible material (6). The covering is in two sections (7,8), with the upper section (7) made from a translucent and waterproof material, and the lower one made from a synthetic air-permeable material, such as interwoven strips of a synthetic material. The adjacent edges of the two covering sections can be joined together by a lengthwise element (11) which forms a guttering channel for rainwater on the outside of the greenhouse having two compressible ribs on its inner surface to grip the edges of the two covering sections.</p> |
