<p>PURPOSE:To travel a tape surely and stably by detecting an error from the reference height position of the tape by a sensor and adsorbing the tape onto a post without a regulating edge and correcting activity the up-and-down position of the tape by an actuator. CONSTITUTION:There are diaphragms 2 connected to a tube 5 on a post to guide a traveling tape 7, air is sucked and the tape 7 is adsorbed onto the post 1 by negative pressure. Photosensors 8 are set on the side of the post, the tape 7 detects the up-and-down (tape width direction) fluctuation quantity from the reference height position, feeds it back to a voice coil 4 and both the post 1 and the adsorbed tape 7 are driven to their regular positions by a voice coil motor composed of a coil 4 and a magnet 6. Thus, the up-and-dowm fluctuation can be corrected without damaging the edges of the tape 7 and the action of a traveling system can be surely stabilized.</p> |
