MANUFACTURE OF SEALED LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed lead-acid battery with easy to treat and good appearance by protruding flash yielded in metal plate punching to a laminated film side and smoothing the end of the metal plate by a leveller. CONSTITUTION:A metal plate 2 is punched with a soft laminated film 1 being under the plate 2 in order to protrude flash to the laminated film 1 side. This causes that the bent flash is yielded at the end 2a of the metal plate 2. Deformation is lessened by putting a leveller on the metal plate 2 over the area little wider than the thickness of the the metal plate 2 after punching. With this procedure, a metal plate with bent flash on the periphery thereof and less deformation is easily obtained. By employing this metal plate, injury and crack on a pack due to the flash are prevented so that a sealed lead-acid battery with good appearance is obtained.
