摘要 |
PURPOSE:To provide the subject compound in a good yield by irradiating a compound having two halogeno groups in the molecule with a highly strong UV ray laser at ordinary temperature in a neutral condition to couple the two halogen-bonded carbon atoms with each other. CONSTITUTION:A compound having two halogeno groups in the molecule [e.g., 1,8-bis(bromomethyl)naphthalene] is preferably dissolved in an UV ray- transmitting solvent such as cyclohexane or ethyl ether and irradiated with a laser light (particularly excimer laser) to produce a cyclized carbon-carbon bond, thereby providing a cyclic organic compound (e.g., acenaphthene). The method provides the objective compound in a short time in a good yield by extremely simple reaction procedures. |
