PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for transmucous administration, containing a specific amount of a bioactive agent having therapeutic activity, a solvent and a gelling agent, exhibiting antihistaminic action and free from side actions and problems in storage and transportation. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains about 0.2-5% of a bioactive agent having therapeutic activity, about 0-99.8% of a solvent and about 0-15% of a gelling agent. The bioactive agent is selected from diphenhydramine, tetrahydroaminoacridine, atenolol, tazifylline, etc. The solvent is Miglyol<(> R<)> 840 and the gelling agent is preferably Aerosil<(> R<)> 200.
