PURPOSE:To measure the time integral quantity of an irradiation quantity even on a working line which uses an energy irradiation source for an electron beam and X rays by providing an active layer which colors, discolors, or fades through the operation of an energy beam on one surface of a base. CONSTITUTION:The active layer 1 and an energy beam absorption layer 2 are laminated on the base 4 and an energy-beam absorption layer 3 is provided on the other side of the base 4. Further, active layers 1 and 1' which differ in sensitivity to the energy beam are provided on both sides of the base 4, and energy beam absorption layers 2 and 3 may be provided on the respective active layers. In this case, the active layers which differ in sensitivity to the energy beam are combined so that they, e.g., differ in coloring speed, one colors and the other fades, or their fading speeds are different. Then a compound which colors through the operation of the energy beam is a combination of an initiator which produces an active seed like a free radical or acid through the operation of the energy beam and a coloring agent which colors through the mutual operation with the active seed.
