<p>PURPOSE: To make a ribbon wheel usable even in the case of different widths of weft inserting and to improve weft inserting ability by laying a surface of revolution for weft inserting ribbon around a ribbon wheel and drawing the surface of revolution in a shape of swirl. CONSTITUTION: This ribbon wheel 1 is equipped with a wheel boss 2 and a wheel main body 3 having an outside wheel rim 4 and is supported rotatably around a revolving shaft line A by the wheel boss 2. A supporting member 5 equipped with a surface of revolution 6 for holding a weft inserting ribbon 7 is installed on the wheel rim 4. The radius vector of the surface of revolution 6 is continuously reduced from a front side 11 of a recessed part 8 to a rear side 12 when looked in the winding direction and the surface of revolution 6 has a shape of swirl around the ribbon wheel 1.</p> |
