<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize an engine by inserting sliding pieces into the sliding hole of a cam shaft, while moving the projections of the sliding pieces inside the guide groove of an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential cam, and forcing the circumferential cam to make turning movement in relation to the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:Sliding pieces 19a, 19b are inserted into the sliding hole 11a of a cam shaft 11. Projections 20 are provided on the sliding pieces 19a, 19b. Fluid is supplied into the sliding hole 11a to move the sliding pieces 19a, 19b, and the projections 20 are moved inside the guide groove 12a of a circumferential cam 12 to force appropriately the circumferential cam 12 to make turning movement properly in relation to a cam shaft 11. A cylinder actuator can be thereby provided inside the cam shaft so as to enable an engine to be miniaturized.</p> |
