PURPOSE:To obtain smooth and high-output rotary engine by providing a cylindrical rotor chamber, a rotor which is coaxially rotated inside the chamber, and a capacity variable device which rotates being interlocked with but on a different center from the rotor. CONSTITUTION:At the point of time when the inner contacting face 10 of a rotor 7 starts to close the opening portion of a combustion chamber 2 into a rotor chamber 1, a fuel-mixed gas is compressed and sent into the combustion chamber 2 from a compressor 3 and a fuel injecting device 4. As the fuel-mixed gas is ignited and burned by means of an ignition device 5 in line with the rotation of the rotor 7, the gas which tends to expand spreads in a space surrounded by the inner wall of the rotor chamber 1, the pressure receiving face 9 of the rotor 7 and a pressure holding face 12 of a capacity variable device 11, rotating the rotatable rotor 7. The exhaust gas after burned is sucked in when the rotor 7 passed through an exhaust port 6. By repeating such a stroke, since there is no pumping loss caused by the rotation of the rotor 7 itself which is rotated centering around one point, the rotor can rotate very smoothly improving thermal efficiency. |
