<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a water repellent having excellent water stop by mixing a polymer having a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl monomer as a component with a polymer having perfluoro(meth)acrylate as a component. CONSTITUTION:A water repellent based on a mixture of a homopolymer of a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl monomer or a copolymer of this vinyl monomer with another monomer copolymerizable therewith with a homopolymer of perfluoro(meth)acrylate or a copolymer of this acrylate with another monomer copolymerizable therewith. Said vinyl monomers are those having a hydrolyzable silyl group such as an alkoxysilyl group or a halosilyl group and include, for example, gamma-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane and vinyltriacetoxysilane.</p> |
