This regulator can be made temporarily inoperative by a blocking member 20, 22 in order to prevent the braking pressure sent to the wheel brake cylinders from changing under the effect of the dynamic displacement of the load per axle during braking. The regulator is intended for compressed air braking installations for utility vehicles, where it will generally be mounted on the front axle, particularly in the case of trailers, so that the trailer or rear axle is not exposed to excessive braking. <IMAGE>
