[Also in Division F2] A retainer for a shaft bearing, which is located in a support member and retains a shaft bearing when so located, comprises a member having a plurality of resilient fingers 14 projecting therefrom which pass through an aperture in the support member, each finger being provided on one side with means for latching onto part of the support member after the fingers have passed through the aperture, and latching means being provided on the other side of the fingers for latching onto the outer portion of a shaft bearing so as to restrain axial movement of the bearing. As described the latching means are shoulders formed on the fingers. |
