PURPOSE:To read only a transient waveform out of an address by providing an address generation part with a musical scale memory, controlling its reading operation, and inhibiting the phase matching of the transient waveform. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 1 sends out a key-on signal, frequency information, and a positioning flag to an address generation part 2 according to the operation of the keyboard. The generation part 2 has the musical scale memory for storing waveform memory addresses calculated by channels. A read of the musical scale memory is controlled with the key-on signal and phase matching flag and then only the transient wave can be read out of the address even when a stationary waveform and the transient waveform coexist. In this case, while phase matching between stationary waveforms is performed, the transient waveform is inhibited from being positioned. Then a waveform memory address read out of the musical scale memory is processed as specified and the result is outputted from a sound system 6. |
