PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance by covering the surfaces of rare earth magnet powder of RE-Fe-B alloy with Zn alloy, and employing chrome plated high corrosion resistance rare earth element permanent magnet powder. CONSTITUTION:After a Zn alloy film is formed on rare earth element magnet powder 2 of RE-Fe-B alloy (where RE: at least one type of rare earth elements including Y, Fe may be substituted for Co up to 20%), chrome plated high corrosion resistance rare earth element permanent magnet powder is employed. It does not potentially become noble as compared with Zn, sacrificing corrosion preventing effect is not reduced, composite treated films 1, 3 alloy plated with noble element as compared with the Zn and the Zn and chrome plated as plating methods of large self-protecting capacity provide corrosion resistance improving effect, and draping with resin in case of molding in later mixture with resin is improved. As the chrome plating, electrolytic chrome plating is preferably employed, and the use of treating solution for further improving corrosion resistance by adding SiO2 to a normal chrome plating bath is preferable. Thus, corrosion resistance can be improved. |
