PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconductor having high critical current density by piling BiSrCaCuO-based oxide on BiSrCaCuO-based oxide having a higher melting point than a sintering temperature and BiSrCaCuO-based oxide having a lower melting point than the sintering temperature and sintering. CONSTITUTION:BiSrCaCuO-based oxide superconductor is piled on BiSrCaCuO- based oxide having a higher melting point than a sintering temperature and BiSrCaCuO-based oxide having a lower melting point than the sintering temperature and sintered to give an oxide superconductor. By the above-mentioned process, a liquid is wholly uniformly permeated round a substance solid at the sintering temperature and a superconducting substance of BiSrCaCuO-based oxide having uniform composition can be produced. Consequently, the ratio of a superconducting phase having high critical temperature is increased and an oxide superconductor having a high critical current density is obtained. Pulverizing raw material into particle size of submicron, a conventional point in production of superconductor, is not required and an oxide superconductor having a high critical current density is obtained from the raw material having >=1mm particle diameter. |
