PURPOSE:To obtain ceramics having excellent strength and low drying shrinkage ratio, being readily glazed, not releasing smear, by adding water and a viscous agent to a mixture of zeolite fine granules having different particle sizes. CONSTITUTION:Zeolite fine granules consisting essentially of silicic acid and alumina produced at Tokachi district in Hokkaido is ground by a coarse crusher and/or pulverizer and sieved to give zeolite powder (A) having <=60 meshes particle size and zeolite powder (B) having about 100meshes particle size. Then the component A is blended with about 30% component B and mixed with water and, if necessary, about 1% buckwheat flour, about 0.1% sugar or about 10% KIBUSHI clay (a kind of kaolinite) as a viscous agent and aged for 2-5 years. |
