PURPOSE:To secure the function of a seat belt in the ordinary case and secure the function of a preloader in anomaly by installing an operation part extending along the shift direction of a seat onto a means for tightening the seat belt when a vehicle collides. CONSTITUTION:The main part of a preloader device 2 is constituted of a deceleration speed sensor 12, driving device 13 and a tension device 14. When a vehicle collides, if a deceleration speed sensor 12 detects the deceleration speed over a prescribed value, the propellant 32 of the driving device 13 is ignited to apply a thrust onto a piston 30, and a wire 25 is pulled in the A direction. Therefore, a pulley 24 is turned to attach the edge part of a movable clamp member 27 in the tension device 14 onto a seat belt 7, and said seat belt 7 is meshed and pulled into between the clamp grooves 26a and 27a of the fixed and movable clamp members 26 and 27. Therefore, a seat 1 and the preloader device 2 are separated, and the lower edge part of the seat belt 7 is connected with the seat 1. |
