PURPOSE:To enable a laser device to generate a laser beam small in a divergent angle independently of the output of the laser device by a method wherein an unstable type resonator of negative branching is employed, and a laser medium is provided near the inside face of one of mirrors which constitute a resonator. CONSTITUTION:An unstable resonator of negative branching is composed of an outlet mirror 6 of a collimating mirror and a total reflection mirror of a magnifying mirror. A laser beam 11 is magnified by a solid-state element 1 and then made to converge through a total reflection mirror 2, which is magnified by a solid-state element 1 to be a laser beam 9. Almost the peripheral part of the laser beam 9 is discharged outside through the function of a non- reflective film provided to an inner face peripheral part of the outlet mirror 6, a part of the central part of the beam 9 is taken outside through the function of a partially reflective film 7 provided to the central part of the outlet mirror 6 inner face, and the remainder is made to reciprocate inside the laser resonator as the layer beam 11. And, the laser beam 11 reciprocated a few times is made to be only of the lowest mode. |
