VECTOR GRAPHIC DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simultaneously generate vector graphics having two colors of a display color and background color and to speed up the display by generating block data in correspondence to the display color and background color respectively by a block data generating means, thereby extending the data. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate position determining means 6 which determines X-Y coordinate by approximation of the vector graphics to be displayed with the positions on the X-Y coordinate and a texture information generating means 18 which generates the line texture information indicating the shape (texture) of the vector graphics to be displayed are provided. The block data corresponding to the display color and the background color respectively are generated from the information on the determined X-Y coordinate and line texture information. The block data are extended by the display color and the background color respectively and the color data are read out of a picture memory means 30 storing said block data and are displayed. The broken line vectors expressed in the two colors; the display color and the background color, are thereby generated at a high speed.
