Optical information recording component contains an optical recording thin film which comprises Te, O, and Pd. The content of Pd and O is 5-40 and 20-60 atomic %, respectively, based on the total content of Te, O, and Pd. Preferable content of Pd and O is 8-35 and 30-35 atomic %, respectively. The film contains Ge, Sn, Al, Cu, Ag, Au, Se, Bi, In, Pb, Si, Pt, Sb, Pt, So, As, V, Cr, Co, and Ni to improve the optical characteristics and thermoresistance. When the content of Pd is below 5 atomic %, the high speed crystallization of Pd-Te cannot be expected, whereas when it is above 40 atomic %, the thin film lowers in the charge of the reflection light.
