The frame of the bicycle of the invention comprises two mirror-image individual parts produced by die-casting or injection-moulding and having ribbing provided in the tube and box profile sections. After the casting or moulding, the two halves are connected using an adhesive in an oven under pressure. The surfaces of the inner ribbing of the frame halves form a plane with the separating points of the outer walls so that a light and dimensionally stable design composed of boxes results. <IMAGE>
