1. A bogie for supporting the body of a railway vehicle, the bogie comprising a chassis (1) mounted on wheels (2) of standard diameter and fitted with brakes (15), with at least one fixed axle (3) of bent shape enabling the floor (6) of the vehicle to be received at a low level and serving as a support for primary suspension springs (4) and supporting two stub axles (31) on which the wheels are mounted, the stub axles being situated higher than the low portions (33) of the fixed axles, the bogie being characterized by the fact that it includes at least two axles each constituted by a transverse beam (33) which extends between and interconnects the bottoms of two support members (32) for the springs (4), with each support member being disposed on the inside of the corresponding wheel. |
