A mowing machine comprises a cutter bar (7) and rotary mowing members (8) arranged thereabove. The cutter bar (7) is connected for its support in two places to a carrier frame (31). One of these connections includes a flexible member, constituted by a resilient element (32; 54; 57), which permits of a limited relative movement between the carrier frame (31) and the portion of the cutter bar (7) that is contiguous to the connection. The resilient connection can be effected via a mowing member (8) arranged on the cutter bar (7) or outside the reach of the mowing members (8) by means of an upwardly extending connection beam (55) which at its upper end is rigidly connected to the carrier frame (31) and at its lower end is connected to the cutter bar (7) via a horizontal resilient element (57). |
