PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic, containing a chitin oligosaccharide and capable of imparting remarkable softening and humectant effects to the skin or hair and further smooth touch. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic obtained by adding a chitin oligosaccharide constituted of 2-7 N-acetylglucosamines linked through beta-1,4-bonds, preferably containing >=50% chitin oligosaccharide constituted of >=3 N-acetylglucosamines linked through the beta-1,4-bonds in an amount of 0.05-5wt.% based on a product thereto. |
