PURPOSE:To suppress the corrosion of a recording film and to obtain the optical disk having a long life and high reliability by subjecting the optical recording member forming side or the side where the optical recording member is not formed or both faces thereof to a moistureproofing treatment in the final stage of disk production. CONSTITUTION:An underlying film 2 consisting of silicon nitride is formed on a glass or plastic substrate 1 and a magneto-optical recording film 3 is formed thereon; further, the entire part of the disk is coated with a moistureproof layer 4 consisting of 'Teflon(R)', polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate, paraffin, etc., as a material having poor wettability with water or material having a large surface contact angle. The corrosion of the recording film is thus suppressed and the optical disk having the long life and high reliability is obtd. |
