In the case of a connection of this type, the line end can be plugged into a sleeve part (2) and the retaining force can be produced to a greater extent by frictional locking and to a lesser extent by positive locking, it being possible for the frictional locking causing the retaining force to be produced by the pressure of a medium in each case between the outer surface of the introduced line end and the inner surface of the sleeve. In order to provide a plug-in connection for flexible lines which is sealed both in the pressureless state of the medium and at higher pressures and effects a sufficiently high retaining force in each case, it is proposed that the effective frictional-locking length (1e) of a sealing and fastening seat (12) be at least approximately the same as the external diameter (1a) of the line or the internal diameter (2a) of the sleeve part (2) and - in the case of very small coefficients of friction - not much more than twice the external diameter (1a) of the line or the internal diameter (2a) of the sleeve part (2), the pushed-in line piece (1c) being radially prestressed within a sub-length (1d) of the sealing and fastening seat (12) by a peripheral sealing strip (4). <IMAGE>
