A cover (1) which is made of flexible material is used for covering the passenger compartment (2) of a cabriolet when its folding top (3) is open. For this purpose, the cover (1) is fastened releasably at its edge regions to the vehicle body (7) along the vehicle belt line by a plurality of snap-fasteners or the like. A holding rail (15) which runs along the dashboard (14) is furthermore releasably attached via receiving parts (12) to the two A-pillars (11), which holding rail is provided with a plurality of snap-fastener lower parts (8); a respective snap-fastener upper part (9) in the cover (1) is assigned to each of these. <IMAGE>
