An installation for recovering powder for powder-coating plants or the like is described, with a device for cleaning the filters (30, 31) in which gas laden with powder particles from a space under higher pressure (air feed space) (28) flows through filter elements (30, 31) into a chamber under lower pressure (clean air chamber) (42) and leaves the powder particles behind in the outer regions of the filter elements (30, 31), in which each filter element (30, 31) is formed by a hollow body (34) and has an aperture connecting the interior of the hollow body (34) to the clean air chamber (42), through which aperture the gas flowing through the filter element (30, 31) passes into the clean air chamber (42), and in which an expeller nozzle (64) is assigned to each filter element (30, 31) in the clean air chamber (42), the inlet of which nozzle is connected via a valve (66) to a source of compressed gas, and the outlet of which is so aligned that the gas flowing out of it passes under elevated pressure through the aperture into the inner chamber (34) of the associated filter element (30, 31) and through the filter material thereof into the air feed space (28), and thus cleans the outer regions of the filter element (30, 31). From the inlet (73) of each expeller nozzle (64), a plurality of nozzle ducts (82) lead to the outlet (74) therefrom and, with relation to each axis (83) which passes approximately centrally through each expeller nozzle (64) and the cavity (34) of the associated filter element (30, 31), either the central axes (83) of the particular nozzle ducts (82) and/or the circumferential interior surface (36) of the particular cavity (34) is/are inclined so that the gas jets emerging from the nozzle ducts (82) of each expeller nozzle (64) impact on the interior surface of the associated filter element (30, 31) at an acute angle. <IMAGE> |
