Transportation vehicles are provided for the transportation of large packs of glass panes in A-shaped supporting frames, in which vehicles the packs of glass panes are braced by fixing devices assigned to the vehicle itself. These fixing devices comprise clamping rockers which are distributed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, spaced apart with respect to one another and are each arranged in an articulated manner on a pivoted arm which is articulated on the longitudinal member of the frame and has an associated pivoting cylinder. These clamping rockers are pivoted, via the support cylinders, in a curved manner onto the packs of glass panes and are pressed against the latter in such a manner that a secure position of the packs of glass panes is ensured during transportation. The curved movement of the clamping rocker and the eccentric arrangement of the point of articulation have the effect that the clamping rocker is brought onto the individual glass panes at a point far below the upper edge of the chassis. In this manner, it can be ensured that the packs of glass panes are held securely even under extreme conditions. At the same time, it is possible to extend the clamping rocker both downwards and upwards, to be precise in the region of the rubber holders and this measure alone already substantially improves the securing of the packs of glass panes.
