Pipe for draining off seepage water from the bottom of landfill sites, having apertures arranged in the wall of the pipe for the ingress of seepage water into the interior of the pipe. Connecting means for the tight fastening of a plastic sheet extend in the longitudinal direction of the pipe along two lines, lying at a distance from one another in the peripheral direction, on its outer wall. The apertures are located only on one side of the two lines and at least partly adjoin the lines there. The connecting means are conveniently in the shape of strips which are located laterally on the pipes and to which the edges of the plastic sheets can be tightly adhesively bonded or welded. The apertures, in particular slots, extending up to the strips provide for reliable draining of seepage water, the pipe area which lies at the bottom between the strips serving as a channel for the discharge of seepage water. <IMAGE>
