<p>NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R<1> is (halogen- substituted)-lower alkyl; R<2> is H, negative electron charge or ester residue capa ble of forming a physiologically hydrolyzable ester] or salt thereof. EXAMPLE:7beta-{(Z)-2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-[(alpha-carboxy-3,4-dihyr oxybenzyl)oxyi- mino]acetamide}-3-{[1-(2-fluoroethyl)pyridin ium-4-yl]thiomethyl}-3-cephem-4- carboxylate. USE:An antimicrobial agent. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula II (R<3> is H or amino protecting group; R<4> and R<5> are H or OH protecting groups; R<6> and R<7> are carboxyl protecting groups; X is halogen) is reacted with a compound expressed by formula III and as necessary the resultant reaction product is subjected to a process eliminating a protecting group, process converting the eliminated product into salt thereof and process converting the eliminated product into a hydrolyzable ester derivative.</p> |
