<p>PURPOSE:To execute the surface treatment of an iron material which exhibits sufficient corrosion resistance in spite of exposure to salt injury, dust, acid precipitation, etc., by subjecting the surface of the iron metallic material to galvanizing, then electrogalvanizing and further subjecting the surface to a chromate treatment. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the iron metallic material is subjected to the ordinary galvanizing and thereafter, the surface of the galvanized layer is subjected to an activation treatment by, preferably 5-10ml/l sulfuric acid. The galvanized layer having the activated surface is then subjected to the electrogalvanizing by using preferably a cyan bath or zincate bath in order to obtain the fine plating layer. The electrogalvanized layer of the surface of the above-mentioned iron metallic material is activated by immersion for 5-10 seconds in 5-10ml/l nitric acid bath of ordinary temp. and thereafter, the material is rinsed and further, the material is immersed in a chromate bath. The surface treatment of the iron metallic material having the excellent durability is thereby executed. The fittings for power transmission equipment which are subjected to the surface treatment in the above-mentioned manner by this method are thereby obtd.</p> |
