<p>PURPOSE:To impart toughness to the title face plate and improve impact fracture resistance of it and attenuate impact shock of ball hitting and reduce an impact to a human body, by including wholly aromatic polyamide fibers in the sheets of a golf club head face plate of laminated sheets impregnated with resin. CONSTITUTION:A golf club head face plate 8 consists of laminated sheets impregnated with resin, and a transparent resin layer for a front layer, a transparent resin impregna tion aramide sheet A for a second layer, and a transparent resin impregnation glass fiber sheet B or a transparent resin impregnation carbon fiber sheet C, and hereinafter, A and B or C are alternately laminated, and are thermally pressed, and are integrally molded, and after that, they are ground and are finished to be round, and when the face plate 8 is watched from the front surface, then the ring shape of a fiber cross- sectional-area is shown. It is desirable that the thickness of the A-layer is set to be about 0.01-1.5mm and the thickness of the B-layer or the C-layer is set to be about 0.01-1.5mm. As a result, impact fracture is prevented from being generated due to ball hitting, and the span of life is remarkably lengthened, and the plate 8 is excellent in impact shock attenuating property, and stability in the hit ball direction is enhanced.</p> |
