PURPOSE: To effectively reduce 'rat's tooth mark' distortion by using a modulation switch which conducts only in part of a period of retracing. CONSTITUTION: A transistor(TR) Q2 is coupled with a 2nd retrace capacitance C2 in response to a horizontal and a vertical input signal and when it turns off in a period of horizontal retracing according to the vertical input signal, the primary winding W1 of a flyback transformer T1 is coupled with a retrace resonance circuit 100 through inductance formed by a 2nd retrace capacitance C2. The high impedance of the capacitance C2 separates a deflecting winding LH and the primary winding W1 at a frequency relating to 'rat's tooth mark' distortion much lower than the retrace frequency of the resonance circuit 100 during the retrace period, so that distortion of a raster known as the 'rat's tooth mark' distortion is prevented from being generated. |
